Amazon.com reported its top selling items for the Christmas season 2011 and also concluded that third-party sellers experienced record growth. The number of sellers who exceeded $5,000 in sales during the Christmas season increased 44 percent year on year, according to the online retailer.
There were three jewelry items that Amazon listed as top sellers, including diamond stud earrings (0.10 total carat weight, J-K, I2-I3), in 10-karat white gold that were priced at $46.28 and marked down from a list price of $219.99. However, customer ratings on the earrings (pictured) were marginally negative. The top comment warns shoppers not to make the purchase and added that CZs "shine more than two tiny diamonds."
