The Magnolia Ballroom at Beau Rivage glittered and shimmered Saturday night for Diamonds Ohr Forever, the 10th George Ohr Gala fundraiser for the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art.
Two dancers in gold bikinis and covered in gold paint, a la “Goldfinger,” awaited guests as they arrived for cocktails and a silent auction. The auction featured artwork, trips, party planning, accessories, jewelry and gift baskets, and a special raffle was for a four-piece David Yurman jewelry set. An impressive floral arrangement in the auction room was topped with martini-ready “stuffed olives” made of green and red flowers.
As “Bond girls” lined the stage, the evening’s emcee arrived in heroic style -- lowered by a rope.
