Not to outdone by the wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William earlier this year, Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips' celebrated their nuptials recently at a ceremony where the happy couple exchanged simple platinum wedding bands.
The bands matched the diamond and platinum engagement ring bought by Tindall, at a ceremony that featured a jazz band and the attendance of every senior member of the Royal Family.

According to a royal source, the event could best be described as a "family knees-up", "except with a lot of royals and rugby players".
The marriage took place in a ceremony at Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh on July 30th.

The royal couple weren't the only public figures celebrating their wedding with platinum jewellery in July: former 98 Degrees singer and songwriter Nick Lachey married his long-term girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo at Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island.
Speaking about the platinum bands, jeweller David Bader said Vanessa was "looking for a ring to match her engagement ring", while Nick wanted something "huskier and thicker".
"They both wanted a substantial looking ring with diamonds, but Nick wanted his to be masculine at the same time," he said.
Ms Minnillo has a platinum eternity band with Asscher-cut diamonds, and her new husband wears a platinum band with 24 square cut diamonds.
