She's a billionaire who can certainly afford to buy a rock or two - but JK Rowling didn't have to dip into her own fortune when she was apparently given a diamond bracelet as a thank you present from film studio Warner Bros.
The Hollywood-based company decided to splash out on the gift to thank the author for letting them adapt her Harry Potter series of books into one of the most successful movie franchises of all time.
The piece of jewellery is thought to be a multi-million pound antique bearing 40 top-quality rocks, according to website TMZ - but the cost would have been small change for top brass at the film makers after the last film in the series, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, made $170million (£105.2m) over its opening weekend.
