Lucky Couple Wins 15,000 Diamond Ring

With the help of modern technology, these couples took off from Ingersoll Park and through the streets of downtown Rockford, in hopes of winning this $15,000 diamond ring.

Participant Heather William's said she's not married yet, but she hopes to get engaged today.

Clayton Heinrich and his girlfriend are talking about getting engaged.

Clayton says, "a $15,000 ring that's something pretty special, so that could be something really cool for us to share."

That bling is provided by Gruno's Diamond's.

Nicolas Meade, a sales associate from Gruno's says "it gives us an opportunity to give a piece of jewelry to somebody that maybe can't afford it or doesn't have the opportunity to buy something like that."

After several weeks of getting tips from WTVO anchors Nicole Kilmer and Charles Vance, the teams took off for the high tech treasure hunt.
