During this year's Las Vegas Market Week, industry nonprofit Jewelers That Care will host its first-ever Jewelers That Care Awards ceremony, an event recognizing designers, retailers, manufacturers and suppliers that are engaging in cause-related marketing.
The ceremony will take place Saturday, June 5, during the JCK Las Vegas Show at the Venetian Hotel, with marketing and branding expert Diane Warga-Arias taking the helm as master of ceremonies.
Among the companies to be recognized are metals refinery Hoover and Strong, gemstone supplier Columbia Gem House, designer brand Lori Bonn Design, and retailers Devon Fine Jewelry and Reflective Images.
A organization that is relatively new to the industry, Jewelers That Care was founded in 2007 when it unveiled its mission to energize development projects, such as building schools and water-well epicenters in rural African villages, while encouraging jewelers to engage in cause-related marketing as a means of helping their communities and building their businesses.
