Katy Perry Engaged ?

Let's ruin Katy Perry's Christmas surprise, shall we? On Saturday, she posted a picture of herself on Twitter - and on Sunday Russell was spotted shopping for diamond rings at Cartier, and eventually left with a large square-cut diamond in a platinum band. We don't really know what that is, since our fanciest jewellery is from Topshop, but we know it means a lot of these: ££££££.

So, now we know - if you want your boyfriend to like it so much that he puts a ring on it, you need to take your clothes off, pop on a Santa hat and dice with death by wrapping yourself in fairy lights. Oh, and then put the results on the internet for loads of other blokes to perv over.

Of course, Russell might just be buying a diamond ring - and even trying it on his own knobbly man-fingers - because he has blingier taste in personal accessories than we thought, but we think it's much more exciting and much more plausible that he is planning to ask Katy to be Branded for life. And we can only imagine how entertaining a proposal from Russell would be, but we have a feeling he'd think of something more creative than the tired old candelit dinner scenario.
