X Factor Hires Gems For Stacey Solomon

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend and this weekend the last remaining female in X Factor was decked out in £100,000 worth of the jewels on loan from an historic Norwich store.

Stacey Solomon, one of the final six contestants on the hit ITV show, was described as looking like a “diva” when she performed “Who Wants to Live Forever” wearing diamond earrings, bracelet and ring.

The jewellery had been supplied by long-established Norwich jewellers Winsor Bishop.

The store, which has been based in London Street for 175 years, has now been asked to return next weekend to dress Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle.

On Saturday's show, Stacey could be seen wearing a diamond encrusted cuff, worth £54,795, red carpet diamond chandelier earrings and a pink and green tourmaline and diamond ring.

She was told by judge Louis Walsh that she looked “so much more like a diva”.

Ms Croydon said Stacey was “over the moon” when she saw the jewellery she would be wearing for the show.

She said: “She squealed with excitement and literally jumped up and down. The diamond cuff looked amazing on her and for us to help her enjoy the show and boost her confidence even more was fantastic.
