Judd Seals The Deal With A Stunning Diamond

After six years of courtship AFL's royal couple Rebecca Twigley and Chris Judd are finally going to tie the knot.

The Carlton captain popped the question to his model girlfriend on Monday while on holiday in Noosa, before hitting a restaurant for a celebratory dinner, Twigley's Manager Lucy Mills said.

Judd produced a diamond ring which he designed himself with the help of Sam Thomas - the head designer at Paul Bram Diamonds in Melbourne.

"It is a solitaire diamond. It is gorgeous, absolutely amazing," Ms Mills said.

The couple, who are still on holiday, had not revealed if they would return to Twigley's home-town Perth for their wedding reception, Ms Mills said.

Twigley shot to stardom after wearing a very revealing gown by Perth designer Ruth Tarvydas on the red carpet to the 2007 Brownlow Medal.

After moving to Melbourne with her footy beau, the trained speech pathologist became the fashion ambassador for Myer and was recently seen reporting on fashion at Melbourne Cup.

Judd served six years at the Eagles as part of the most feared midfield in the game, alongside Ben Cousins and Daniel Kerr.

In 2007 Judd transferred to Carlton where he was offered the captaincy upon entering his first season with the Melbourne club.
