A $9,000 ring was stolen from a Roseville jewelry store today by three men who smashed a glass counter in the shop, police said.

Police are investigating whether the theft at Diamond & Company on Gratiot near 12 Mile is connected to similar thefts in the tri-county area, Deputy Chief Anthony Cona said.

The men entered the store without saying anything about 1:45 p.m., smashed a front counter with an unknown object and took a white gold ring, police said.

They fled in a burgundy or red Ford Taurus.
