Tens of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery have been stolen from a house in a Bedfordshire village.
The haul was taken from Studham, five miles south of Dunstable, on Thursday after patio doors were forced and an electronic safe ripped from a wall.
Much of the jewellery, which includes a 24 carat gold Tiffany diamond ring, was given to the owner by her fiance over the last 14 years, police said.
They said jewellers, dealers and the public may have been offered the items.
Det Con Michelle Sears said a car or van would have been needed to shift the bright silver electronic combination safe, which was 19in (48.2cm) high, 17in (43.1cm) wide and 24in (60.9cm) deep.
'Absolutely priceless'
A 1920s design platinum necklace with Marquise diamonds and a chunky gold and platinum ring with square and princess cut diamonds were among the items taken.
"This jewellery is of great financial value and absolutely priceless to the owner, who was completely devastated to find it missing," she said.
