Webster Takes Diamond Award

The winner of one of the diamond industry's top honours has been announced.

Couture Design's 2009 Awards ceremony took place as part of the company's show in Las Vegas, with Stephen Webster taking the Best of Diamonds prize.

The honour was in recognition of the designer's Jewels Verne collection, lovers of platinum diamond rings and diamond bracelets may be interested to learn.

Mr Webster said that a decade ago he won his first award under his own name, the editor's choice gong.

He added: "I am delighted that ten years down the line we still have it in us to cause excitement and approval from the crème de la crème of the jewellery industry."

The event was held at the Encore Ballroom in Las Vegas, bringing the three-week show to an end.

Last month, the nominees for the UK Jewellery Awards 2009 were announced.

Tom Rucker, Shaun Leane, David Marshall, Alex Monroe and Rodney Rayner were all put forward for the Jewellery Designer of the Year prize.
