Police in the US are searching for a thief who stole a diamond ring from an elderly woman's hand.
Authorities in Oklahoma City revealed that the band was taken from the finger of a 90-year-old woman, lovers of gold diamond rings may be concerned to hear.
The three-carat $30,000 (£18,277) item belongs to Libby Marks, who said that the thief almost broke her finger while stealing the piece.
She commented that the man gained entry to her home by asking to use a telephone, but he then took her purse, before turning his attention to the band on her finger.
Ms Marks added that her hand has been left bruised after the theft.
In other news regarding stolen gold and platinum diamond rings, earlier this week former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens lost her engagement band, a watcher and a necklace when she was mugged by three men outside her London home.
