France And Italy 'top For Luxury'

France and Italy remain "the benchmark" when it comes to producing luxury jewellery, an expert has said.

Guillame Brochard, chief executive officer for the Qeelin brand, told wallpaper.com that he believes these nations are ahead of the rest when it comes to gorgeous pieces, which may include gold diamond rings, diamond necklaces or diamond bracelets.

Mr Brochard is producing jewellery for the Chinese market with designer Dennis Chan.

The chief executive officer told the news provider that when the brand first started he involved himself in the creative process of the company.

However, he added: "But I quickly found out that Dennis did not need my inputs at all! He has been doing a fantastic job since day one."

In other news, jewellery designer Paul Spurgeon recently told Cambridge-news.co.uk that he has "gone back to his roots" and concerns himself with the expression involved with creating pieces, rather than money.
