A major jewellery heist has seen thieves get away with around $500,000 (£300,000) of sparkling pieces.
The incident occurred when a hole was cut into the roof of a US diamond store, the Cobb County police force has revealed.
After gaining entry, thieves stole precious gemstones and gold watches, lovers of items such as gold diamond rings and platinum diamond bracelets may be concerned to hear.
Sergeant and police spokesman Dana Pierce told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the signs point to the work of professionals.
The sergeant added: "Even though evidence was recovered at the crime scene, detectives believe that the persons had to have specific knowledge of business alarms as well as how to cut into a safe."
In related news, earlier this week it was revealed that a thief stole millions of pounds worth of jewellery from a French store.
The man waved a gun at workers in a Chopard outlet before fleeing with items to the value of 6.6 million (£5.7 million).
