A man has had PHP1.8 million (£22,945) of jewellery, including a diamond ring, stolen from a spa in the Philippines, a source reveals.
Mariano Madera had the items taken from a locker while attending the Club Oasis Spa at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino, the Inquirer reports.
Cash, a Rolex watch and diamond jewellery, including a diamond ring, were taken from the 74-year-old man during his visit, which he discovered on his return an hour later.
The diamond ring was worth PHP100,000, while cash worth PHP40,000 and $1,400 (£848) was also taken, the news provider reported.
These items were concealed within his shoes, within the locker at the Ermita club, while the crime took place between 17:00 and 18:20 local time, the source revealed.
