A couple have lost a diamond ring which symbolised their against-the-odds wedding, according to a source.
Neil and Janet Baker married in a hospital bedside ceremony after Neil was given hours to live by doctors due to a heart condition, reports thisislancashire.co.uk.
Janet proposed to her beau and the pair were soon wed, with Neil going on to recover, although he still requires medication.
The pair were back in hospital recently, when Janet was admitted for an ectopic pregnancy with what would have been their first child, during which she took off her wedding band and it has not been seen since, lovers of gold diamond rings may be saddened to hear.
Jean Baker, mother of Neil, told the source: "They are both inconsolable about losing the baby, losing the ring has just compounded their misery."
