Pussycat Doll 'shopping For Diamond Rings'

Formula One star Lewis Hamilton may be about to put his hand in his pocket and purchase an engagement band, it has been claimed.

He and his pop star partner Nicole Scherzinger are said to be shopping for gold and platinum rings, the Herald Sun reports.

The pair are looking to buy the items to mark their forthcoming engagement.

A source close to the couple told the newspaper that the Pussycat Dolls singer has her eye on certain gold diamond rings already.

They said: "She found a Cartier ring that she liked, but she was worried that other people had similar designs."

The insider added that Ms Scherzinger is set on a band which includes dazzling diamonds, stating: "She's looking for diamonds and she wants something unique."

Recently, Mr Hamilton wore a diamond-encrusted helmet as he raced in the Monaco Grand Prix, which last year's champion finished in 12th place.
