Two men who are alleged to be involved with some of the most high profile diamond thefts in Europe have been arrested.

French police pounced on the pair, Zoran Kostic and Nikola Ivanovic, due to their suspected involvement with the infamous Pink Panther group.

The gang is thought to have stolen jewels worth as much as $200 million (£129 million), lovers of items such as gold diamond rings and platinum diamond bracelets may be interested to hear.

It is thought that the group is responsible for more than 100 thefts across the continent, the first of which took place in London around six years ago.

Police believe that Pink Panther has as many as 200 members, with jewellery thefts occurring in countries such as France and Switzerland, as well as the UK.
