Senior members of a major jewellery body are set to outline its latest work later this week.
John Hall, vice chairman on the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), and Catherine Sproule, the organisation's chief operations officer, will speak at the JCK Las Vegas event on May 29th.
The pair will comment on the latest developments from the RJC on certification, lovers of gold diamond rings and diamond drop earrings may be interested to hear.
Mr Hall will also give a talk on how jewellery companies can adapt during the economic downturn, with factors such as responsible business practices covered.
Meanwhile, he will also address the Rapaport Fair Trade Conference on June 1st, lovers of platinum diamond rings may be interested to learn.
In other industry news, the Jewelers of America has altered its documents relating to practices involving responsible gold and conflict diamonds.
The body is sending out documents and materials on these issues to its members.
