A major diamond jewellery body has re-released one of its publications in a new format due to demand, it has revealed.
The International Gemological Institute has produced its coloured stone report in a new credit card size, lovers of gold diamond rings and diamond bracelets may be interested to hear.
It says that this is due to increased consumer demand, while new security features have been added to the standard report data.
Jerry Ehrenwald, president and chief executive officer for the body, claimed that he is "delighted" to be able to meet the level of interest in the work by offering this new version.
He added: "This format is visually appealing, smaller and easier to handle and costs less. Its a benefit to consumers and retailers alike."
In other industry news, the National Association of Jewellery Appraisers has revealed that it is set to hold its mid-year conference in the US in August.
