A major jewellery body is offering advice for sellers of items such as gold diamond rings and diamond drop earrings, it has been revealed.
The Retailers Reference Guide: Diamonds, Gemstones, Pearls and Precious Metals resource has been launched at the CIBJO Congress by the Marketing and Education Commission of the World Jewellery Confederation.
Among the topics covered in the handbook are how members of staff at outlets selling such goods can be empowered to provide buyers with the best possible information and details on numerous precious stones and metals.
Jonathan Kendall, president of the firm behind the guide, commented that it represents a "real milestone" for his company.
He added that the resource is useful for both junior workers in the sector and experienced retailers.
The World Jewellery Conference ran in Istanbul from May 3rd until the 5th, offering industry members the chance to discuss issues such as the current market and innovations in the field.
