A lucky sports fan in New Zealand was given a diamond ring just for attending a game this week.
Nathan Benfell went to watch the Southern Steel netball team play and was lucky enough to have the platinum ticket, which saw him clinche the top prize, reports the Southern Times.
The diamond ring, which has three stones and is set in 18-carat gold, is valued at NZ $5,000 (£1,975).
Mr Benfell tells the newspaper he found it funny that he had won the women's ring, considering a large proportion of the audience was female, but says he is not any less grateful.
"It certainly wasn't suitable for me but it's good to have something so unique that symbolises what the Southern Steel are all about," he adds.
The ring is symbolic of the netball team, with spokeswoman for the team Kate Buchanan saying the white gold circle around the diamond is the centre circle on court and the two sapphires represent the two regions which make up the team.
Mr Benfell is not the only one to win a diamond ring this week, with ten ladies receiving the diamond jewellery from the Cairo Amman Bank.
