A company synonymous with the diamond jewellery industry has revealed its latest product which could aid retailers and consumers.
Sarin Technologies is a specialist in equipment used during the planning and manufacturing stages of obtaining glittering gemstones, such as those used for items including platinum diamond rings and diamond drop earrings.
The firm has now come up with a product which claims to be able to allow gems to be mapped for all inclusions within minutes.
At present this process takes hours and sometimes even days to perform, the company states.
Uzi Levami, Sarin's chief executive officer, comments that he is proud to be able to offer this service, which will at first be used in the Indian and Israeli markets, before being introduced worldwide.
He adds: "We believe that offering inclusion mapping as a service to the diamond industry, especially during these times of credit limitations, has the potential of benefitting both the company and its customers."
Sarin Technologies was established in 1988 and produces measurement and evaluation systems for diamonds.
