Public And Trade Diamond Event Nears

A major event for those involved in the design, manufacturing and production of gold diamond rings and diamond necklaces is on the way.

The annual Rapaport Breakfast and Fair Trade Jewellery Conference will take place at the JCK Las Vegas Jewellery Show on June 1st.

Consumers who love sparkling items and members of the industry are welcome to attend.

Martin Rapaport, chairman of the Rapaport Group, is set to give a talk on the sector at the event.

He says members of the industry will only beat the recession if they can "outthink it".

Mr Rapaport adds: "We must develop strategies and proactive measures that will empower the jewelry trade and enable us to meet the challenges and opportunities before us."

He went on to state that it is more important now than ever before for firms to have the correct plans in place.

In other industry news, the International Coloured Gemstone Association's congress is set to take place in China between May 5th and 10th.
