A major diamond industry show is set to get underway today (April 7th).
The MidEast Watch and Jewellery event is being held at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
Now in its 26th year, the exhibition runs over five days, providing a stage for some of the region's top designers and manufacturers.
Makers of items such as gold diamond rings, diamond stud earrings and diamond necklaces flock from all over the world to attend the show, which will include talks from some top industry members.
Around 450 designers and manufacturers are expected to head to the event to showcase their glittering gemstone-encrusted items.
The event's organisers have revealed that they are expecting as much as a 20 per cent increase in turnout compared to last year.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the Stuller's annual Jewellers Workshop, which focused on talks and seminars providing advice for retailers, attracted more than 200 industry members.
