Diamonds Dazzle At Hanks' Gala

Diamonds dazzled as Hollywood recognised one of its brightest stars this week.

Tom Hanks was honoured with a tribute evening at the Lincoln Centre in New York, and the A-listers turned up in their droves, with many opting to wear sparkling jewellery.

Julia Roberts wowed the star-heavy audience with not only her foul-mouthed speech, but also a pair of shining gold earrings.

Meanwhile, actress Charlize Theron teamed her black dress with a sparkling pair of diamond stud earrings.

However, the undoubted glittering star of the show was Hanks' wife Rita Wilson, who complimented her black ensemble with diamond stud earrings, a diamond necklace and a clutch purse.

Earlier this month, gorgeous jewellery was out in full force for the premiere of the documentary Grey Gardens.

Cameron Diaz, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Jessica Lange were among those wowing the audience with their fashion and accessory choices, with the latter opting for gold, gemstone-encrusted hoop earrings.
