An 87-year-old woman has received the perfect gift, after a good-natured person replaced her stolen diamond ring.
Pauline LaFountain appeared on television after conmen took a jewel-encrusted band from her finger, reports WINK News.
The elderly lady was duped when two men posing as utility workers gained entry to her home and took the item from her hand, stating that they "had to have it".
After seeing the story broadcasted, viewer Eileen Fuller got in touch with Ms LaFountain and replaced the band with one of her own, lovers of gold diamond rings may be pleased to hear.
Earl LaFountain, husband of the 87-year-old, told the news provider: "I never dreamed in my wildest dreams that somebody would come up here with a present like that to replace hers."
In other news relating to stolen gold diamond rings, thieves last week broke into Manchester United footballer Darren Fletcher's home and took a gemstone-covered band from his fiance at knifepoint.
