A hip-hop star endured a night to forget as his diamond necklaces were stolen during a performance.
Coolio, who had hits in the 90s with Gangsta's Paradise and C U When U Get There, was playing a show at Staffordshire University when an attempted crowd surf went wrong.
The rapper jumped into the audience of students, who responded by moving out of the way leaving the Celebrity Big Brother contestant to land flat on the floor.
If that was not bad enough, the crowd then pounced on the US star, making off with jewellery, shades and even his shoes.
James Fielden, a bartender at the student union, commented: "They grabbed whatever they could, including his trainers, watch, chains and glasses. He was pulled back on stage by the bouncers. They got his shoes back for him."
In other news regarding stolen jewels, raiders took a diamond ring during a break in at Scotland footballer Darren Fletcher's home.
