'Perfect Time' For A Jewellery Spring Clean

Now could be the perfect time for lovers of gold diamond rings and diamond bracelets to get their jewellery boxes in order, according to a source.

The Jewelry Insider blog comments that we are reaching spring cleaning territory.

According to the source, this provides an opportunity to de-tangle all of those chains and pendants that have been shoved away into a drawer and gather up all single diamond drop earrings that once formed a pair.

The blog suggests soaking items such as platinum diamond rings and diamond bracelets in warm soapy water, with a toothbrush used gently and sparingly to get the gemstones gleaming again.

It adds: "Everything (and we mean everything) deserves a jewelry spa day. Clean, brush and wipe - and we promise you - 'like new' is a phrase you'll say over and over."
