Two men have been called heroes after they helped find a terminally-ill woman's missing diamond ring, according to a source.
George Millett and Rod Furniss unearthed the jewel-encrusted band while on holiday in New Zealand, reports thisisderbyshire.co.uk.
The men were asked to help look for the item by its owner's father, after the pair were spotted hunting for treasure with a metal detector.
After a short search, the band was found under six inches of sand, lovers of platinum diamond rings may be pleased to hear.
Diane Tregidga, mother of the item's owner, told the news provider that the men are heroes to her daughter.
She said: "She hasn't got long to live and she wanted to find her ring. It was so emotional when they gave it back to her."
Recently, WINK News reported that a viewer replaced an elderly woman's stolen diamond ring after seeing a broadcast on the news channel about the theft.
