Some of the world's top producers of items such as gold diamond rings and diamond necklaces are set to meet at a major industry event, it has been revealed.
The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will host 23 companies exhibiting sparkling pieces at the India Pavillion at BaselWorld.
Between March 26th and April 2nd, delegates from around the world will flock to the expo to catch a glimpse of the latest designs and discuss issues affecting the sector.
Vasant Mehta, chairman of the GJEPC, commented that he is very pleased that the region's designers will have the chance to demonstrate their skills to the European market.
He added: "This show helps India to showcase its versatility in the trade and provides a unique opportunity to form winning partnerships with the European gem and jewellery traders."
