The Diamond Trading Company (DTC) has launched a new range of jewel-encrusted pieces.
In news which may interest lovers of gold diamond rings and diamond bracelets, the body has revealed the DTC Shining Lights Awards Southern African 2009 Collection, which comprises of eight items.
The line includes 14,000 dazzling gemstones, which come to a combined weight of more than 400-carats.
Local designers have produced the items, which were announced at the Radisson Hotel in South Africa, with those from Nambia and Botswana contributing to the range.
The scheme aimed to support jewellery-makers in this region, giving them a platform to showcase their work on a worldwide scale.
A range of workshops and educational classes are also being held as part of the initiative, which aims to improve the area's production of items such as platinum diamond rings.
