An array of stars dazzled in diamonds at the latest red carpet event at the weekend.

The New York Metropolitan Opera's 125th anniversary celebrations saw a wealth of A-list names turn out, with some opting to do so in diamond stud earrings and glittering bracelets.

With Yves Saint Laurent gowns at every turn, the star's looked fantastic and most used their jewel-encrusted pieces to perfectly accessorise their outfits.

Amber Rose opted for diamond stud earrings, while Zoe Saldana went the other way and plumped for diamond drop earrings.

Meanwhile, supermodel Claudia Schiffer chose a suitably understated look with silver bangles complementing her black dress.

The star-studded gala was held on Sunday (March 15th) and raised $6.3 million (£4.5 million) in ticket sales, its organisers have revealed.

In related news, John Mayer was recently reported to have been seen shopping for gold diamond rings for his partner Jennifer Aniston.

On the same day newsreader Kate Silverton was spotted browsing engagement bands with her boyfriend.ADNFCR-1633-ID-19078753-ADNFCR
