Diamonds proved to be as popular as ever at a recent auction.
Items such as diamond necklaces and platinum diamond rings raised thousands of pounds as they went under the hammer last week.
The Thomas Watson sale in Darlington saw an 11-carat jewel-encrusted tennis necklace sell for £6,500.
Set in 18-carat white gold, the piece featured 163 round brilliant-cut diamonds and included a detachable heart-shaped pendant.
Meanwhile, an 18-carat white gold and platinum cluster ring also proved to be a popular item as it sold for £2,750.
However, it was not such a success for gold watches, with an 18-carat gold men's timepiece failing to find a new owner.
Elsewhere, a gemstone-encrusted owl ring which belonged to Elvis Pressley is now up-for-sale in an online auction.
The Gotta Have It! sale includes a wealth of items once owned by the king, including jumpsuits worn on stage and his trademark shades.
