A major organisation has announced its plans for a forthcoming jewellery event.
The Israeli Diamond Industry plans to have a significant presence at Baselworld 2009, which takes place between March 26th and April 2nd, it has revealed.
A host of exhibitions, talks and stalls will be on show at the expo, lovers of items such as platinum diamond rings and diamond drop earrings may be interested to hear.
The body will also host a press conference and lunch meeting as part of the proceedings.
Daniel Bloom, of Bloom Fine Jewelry, commented that the show will provide the perfect opportunity for those considering purchases of gemstone-covered items to rekindle their love affair with splashing out on such lavish pieces.
He said: "I'm sure that, despite it being a difficult year, consumers will still be buying diamond jewellery."
Mr Bloom added that retailers will also be buying at the event, in order to replenish their stock.
In other industry news, last week it was announced that the Salon Prive Haute Joaillerie Dubia will take place between October 18th and 21st.
