A body specialising in gemstones is set to offer a range of glittering pieces with a difference at a sale next month, it has been revealed.
Rio Tintos Argyle mine will showcase an array of rare coloured diamonds in its Once in a Blue Moon auction.
Josephine Archer, sales and marketing director for the company, described the product line as enchanting, lovers of gold diamond rings may be interested to hear.
She said: We are excited to showcase our first ever collection of precious blue and violet Argyle diamonds, sourced from several years of production at the mine.
The items will be displayed in several locations, such as Hong Kong, Perth and Tokyo, before bids close on April 8th.
Last month, gold diamond rings were among the items which sold at a New Orleans auction.
An Art Deco band with a 4.25-carat stone was purchased at the sale for $42,000 (£29,600).
