A woman has suffered disappointment in her bid to have her jewel-encrusted wedding band replaced, according to a source.
Victoria Harris took a US jewellers to court after claiming she was sent back a different item after taking it to be resized, reports the Associated Press.
She stated her 2.35-carat pink diamond ring was replaced with a less valuable alternative which did not feature such a coloured stone.
However, after a three-year process a judge has ruled that it could not be proved that a jewel was even present in the band, owners of gold diamond rings may be interested to hear.
The accused called an expert who stated it is not uncommon for the cleaning process to change the appearance of such an item.
Ms Harris told the news provider of her disappointment at the decision.
She said: "I feel terrible. I have pictures on my wedding night with a pink diamond on my hand."
Earlier this week, NBC reported a case of a couple ending up in court to determine the rightful owner of an engagement band, lovers of platinum diamond rings my recall.
