The star of The OC and movies such as The Last Kiss and Waiting For Forever, was spotted wearing a jewel-encrusted band recently, but then posed questions by failing to wear the item at New York Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, Hollywood heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal is reported to have been seen shopping for gold diamond rings, sparking rumours the Brokeback Mountain star is set to propose to partner Reese Witherspoon.

The actor is said to have been spotted browsing jewel-encrusted bands at a New York outlet earlier this week.

Recently, Kate Winslet sparkled in diamond drop earrings at the Bafta awards, which she matched up with a black Zac Posen dress and a glittering bracelet.
