Raiders held a footballer's finance at knifepoint as they stole diamond jewellery, it has been revealed.
Thieves broke into the house of Premiership star Darren Fletcher and threatened to slit his partner's throat if she did not hand over her engagement ring.
A £30,000 gemstone-covered band was one of several items taken, with the haul of jewellery stolen thought to amount to around £100,000.
