Jewellery Design Winners Revealed

The winners of a major industry competition have been revealed.

JCK's Jewelers Choice Awards 2008, which were sponsored by the Platinum Guild International, looked to recognise the top designers of dazzling pieces, lovers of diamond bracelets and diamond drop earrings may be interested to hear.

There were several categories in which jewellery-makers could be awarded prizes, in an event which saw retailers fulfill the role of judges.

Durnell, Kirk Kara and Simon G were recognised in the three ring platinum bridal set section of the proceedings.

Meanwhile, two major awards were split into separate price bands, with the platinum jewellery under $10,000 (£6,800) prizes going to Danhov, John Apel and Somos Creations, while Erica Courtney, Michael Schofield and Michael B picked up the gongs for pieces which retail for more than this amount.

The full results will be printed in the March issue of JCK magazine, which goes on sale later this month.
