A US woman has received the perfect early Valentine's Day gift - the return of a jewel-encrusted band.
Phyliss Steelsmith, of Ohio, misplaced the item on New Year's Day at a welcome centre rest stop, report the Cincinnati Enquirer.
To make matters worse, the glittery jewel was Ms Steelsmith's wedding band, owners of gold diamond rings may be interested to hear.
As the weeks passed, it looked as if the $24,000 (£16,390) item was lost forever, until the tenacity of the woman who found it in the restroom paid off.
Eileen Dillon discovered the band while using the rest stop on New Year's Day and, after consulting a local jeweller on its worth, decided to hunt down its rightful owner, the newspaper adds.
She contacted the welcome centre manager, Jeff Thoke, who pursued several leads before finding Mr Steelsmith.
He told the source: "I had to hunt him down by doing an internet search of state farm agents in Ohio. I went through the central office in Ohio, and they sent out an e-mail to more than 90 agents in three regions."
In other news on missing gold diamond rings, a US woman recently lost a gemstone-encrusted band when she dropped it down a toilet in a restaurant.
