Youngsters yearning to dress like mum and dad want to deck themselves out in jewel-encrusted items.
Smash-hit television show SpongeBob SquarePants has spawned a raft of merchandise and the latest line is a range of diamond bracelets, necklaces and watches.
Among the pieces set to be produced is a 12-carat jewel-encrusted pendant, however this is a special one-off item which will be auctioned in a charity sale.
Russell Simmons, whose company is behind the scheme, commented the agreement is ideal for his firm.
He said: "We are always looking for innovative ideas to develop fine jewellery and the Nickelodeon partnership to license SpongeBob is the perfect addition to the Simmons Jewelry family."
The range, which marks the show's tenth anniversary, is set to go on sale in the autumn, with prices ranging from $150 (£100) to $75,000.
Earlier this week, Israeli children were given a closer look at items such as gold diamond rings when they visited the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum.
