A gold ring has been returned to its owner after he lost it more three decades ago, it has been reported.
Dr Dan McCaghren, a family counsellor and psychiatrist in Tulsa, Oklahoma, lost the ring, which is his 1960 high school class ring, in 1970, according to the Dallas Morning News.
However, the piece of jewellery was found last month by Larry and Lucretia Cornelison as they planted tulips at their home in Douglass, Kanas, it may interest those with gold diamond rings to hear.
Mr Cornelison told the news provider: "It was in real good shape. All I did was dust it off and clean it up a little."
The couple then told the Dallas Morning News of their find, which ran an article about the ring that was eventually read by the piece's original owner.
Dr McCaghren thanked the couple for their "warm spirit" and praised their efforts in making sure he was reunited with his treasured ring.
Last month, the Birmingham Mail revealed that a jewel-encrusted ring was dropped into a charity collection tray by a kind mystery donor.
