Jewellery Retail Guide Released

A guide detailing some of the top companies in the diamond industry has been released.

Jewellers of Europe NV has announced the launch of its handbook, which covers the Top 100 retailers in the sector.

With issues such as price, product range and locations taken into account, the resource recognises the best outlets from which to purchase items such as platinum diamond rings and brilliant-cut diamond rings.

Filip van Laere, founder and chief executive officer for the research company, stated the body aims to offer greater transparency in the market.

He added: "With the launch of the Top 100 we have achieved this, allowing the professional community a new European-wide tool to better understand, segment and unlock this sizeable market."

In other industry news, the Diamond Trading Company's (DTC) sightholders recently held their annual meeting in London.

The event was hosted by DTC managing director Varda Shine and discussed a range of issues related to the sector.
