A US institution is set to hold an educational event for those interested in diamonds, it has been revealed.
The American Gem Society (AGS) Conclave will take place in Chicago between April 1st and 4th.
Among the attractions open to visitors are a series of business lectures and seminars which will be taught by several professors and address numerous factors related to the jewellery industry.
Ruth Batson, executive director and chief executive officer for AGS commented that the group has been "working hard" to put together a strong programme for 2009 for those interested in items such as gold diamond rings and diamond necklaces.
She added each part of the initiative has been designed to help attendees succeed in their business operations.
In other news, the recently held Macau Jewelry and Watch Fair, which took place at the Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Centre, featured a prominent presence from the Israeli Diamond Industry.
