Diamond jewellery is among the items set to go up for sale at an auction of unclaimed goods.
Thousands of possessions which have not been collected from safety-deposit boxes, meaning they will be sold later this month.
Platinum diamond rings, watches, coins and other gems will be available for those bidding in the December 18th and 19th sales, with e-commerce shoppers hoping to pick up a bargain able to put offers in online.
Cindi Holmstrom, Washing department of revenue director, stated: "We've had some success in reuniting rightful owners with their personal valuables, but many items have gone unclaimed despite our best effort."
In order for items such as gold diamond rings to be eligible for the sale, owners must have not made deposit box payments for five years, or had contact with the department for the same length of time.
