Diamonds will once again take centre stage at a high-profile charity auction.
Items such as gold diamond rings will be up for grabs at a Sotheby's sale in London which aims to raise £1 million for the NSPCC.
Work from numerous top designers will be present, with a 22-carat gold band by Anish Kapoor expected to bring in as much as £20,000.
Joanna Hardy, senior specialist at the auction house, said: "We are delighted to be able to support NSPCC by auctioning an exquisite selection of jewellery that has been donated by a range of top contemporary artists and jewellers."
She went on to say the event is an "exciting development" in the industry.
Bidders will be able to do their bit for a good cause, as well as their jewellery box, when the gems go under the hammer on December 17th.
Gemstone-covered bands have proved to be popular choices at recent auctions, with several gold diamond rings and single jewels selling above their predicted prices.
