Diamond Jewellery Recovered

A thief who stole jewellery from a hospital has been caught, according to reports.

Gold diamond rings, watches and a diamond chain are said to have been part of the haul taken by Ajim Sheikh.

It is alleged the 28-year-old took the items from a patient's bag while he was staying in hospital earlier this year.

Sunil Karunani, who was accompanies by his wife and mother, stated that someone had stolen the jewellery after waking up at the Narayana Hrudayalay complex in Dubai.

The gemstone-encrusted pieces which were taken are said to be worth around Rs 14 lakh (£19,300), while other possessions including cash were also taken by the light-fingered thief.
