An array of glittering gems belonging to former Hollywood star Deborah Kerr have been sold.
The items, which included gold diamond rings once owned by the late actress, fetched more than £50,000 at a Bonhams auction.
A gold brilliant-cut jewel-encrusted band from Ms Kerr's first marriage was the top seller, bringing in £33,600 - £11,000 more than its estimate.
The piece was not the only item to sell over its guide price, with a diamond bracelet, necklaces and chains all making more than expected.
A spokesperson from the auction house commented: "Glamorous jewellery with celebrity connections, combined with fantastic provenance, will always prove popular among collectors."
In related news regarding gold diamond rings, earlier this month a pink pear-shaped band proved to be a main talking point at Sotheby's sale in Geneva after it was purchased for $1.32 million (£899,000).
Shortly before the Magnificent Jewels auction it is claimed experts were unsure if it would meet its reserve price due to the current economic downturn.
